A small lookup box for shelters, rescues, vet clinics, plant shops, and blogs: a visitor types a plant name, gets its S0–S4 grade for cats or dogs and the one-sentence verdict, and can click through to the full record with its sources. It is free, it carries no ads, and it updates automatically as the index grows — you never need to re-paste it.
The widget is free to use on any site. It shows a fixed “Powered by Verdapaw” link, and the script version adds one visible line of attribution under the box; please leave both in place — the grades are transcribed from ASPCA and Pet Poison Helpline records and reviewed by a person, and the link is how readers reach the sources. The widget renders inside an isolated frame, so nothing in it can touch your page's styles or scripts, and it works down to a 390-pixel-wide column. Data shown is the same as our open index.json (CC BY 4.0). Nothing here is veterinary advice; every S3 and S4 verdict page carries the poison hotline numbers.
data-animal="cat" or data-animal="dog" sets which animal the box opens on; visitors can switch. The iframe form also takes &plant=lily (any plant id from the index) to open on one plant's verdict card. Want a different language, or a version without the search box?
