Is philodendron toxic to cats?

Heartleaf philodendron is toxic to cats (S2 Irritant): its insoluble calcium oxalate crystals cause oral pain, swelling, drooling, and vomiting, but ingestion is rarely life-threatening.

Take the plant material away and move the vine out of reach — trailing stems are easy chew targets. Rinse your cat's mouth with water if tolerated and offer fresh water.
