Is poinsettia toxic to dogs?
Poinsettia is only mildly toxic to dogs (S1 Caution): its milky sap can cause drooling, vomiting, and skin irritation, but the poisoning risk is greatly exaggerated — signs are usually self-limiting.

Move the plant out of reach and wipe any sap off your dog's skin or muzzle. Offer fresh water. Signs usually pass on their own — medical treatment is rarely necessary.
